Welcome, induction is to orient you to UNITAF and explain 3 key things

• a bit about us
• how to get involved with our combat operations
• how our progression works and next steps

I will also answer any questions you have

The induction is informal, so feel free to ask me if you have any questions at any point.

About UNITAF

• Active Company Sized MILSIM Unit
• Quite a large and active group in comparison to the wider community
  • 130~ on the active force, each of these persons deploying min 1x per month, but an average of 8x
  • average age 27, min age 18
  • diverse group, 30% NA/CAD, 30% UK, another 40% EU and rest of world (32 countries in total)

there are lots of different terms used in the wider community, semi-milsim, realism, chillsim, relaxed milsim etc

• UNITAF is on serious end - we do things the way they are done in real life, if it makes sense to do it that way
  • in game, forced 1st person, medical system, radio system, advanced ballistics etc

Let's look at Combat Operations and how to get involved in them, we assume that's why you are joining.

Operations and how to join them
Two things that make UNITAF pretty unique, which are that we are;

• non fixed schedule
• non fixed ORBAT

Let's explain what that means;
Non fixed schedule: Typically in a unit such as ours, you'll commit to a schedule, for example Thursdays and Sundays

Non fixed ORBAT means that of 600 deployments and 2 years, not one has had the same people, in the same role, in the same team
