Introduction
UNITAFs mission is to liberate the map of the enemy. Initially the enemy will hold all sectors and we start with a limited amount of resources. By strategically taking over enemy sectors to gain access to more resources and unlock better vehicles to use.
Resources and Measures
You can see these on the right hand side of your screen if you are in one of our FOBs.
Name | Icon | Purpose | How to get more? |
---|---|---|---|
Manpower | Green Fist | Used to hire AI soldiers | Capture villages |
Supplies | Supplies logo | Used for base building and purchasing of assets | Capture factories or find them in an enemy sector and transport them to one of our FOBs |
Ammo | Red Bullets | Used when purchasing vehicles and hiring AI soldiers | Capture military bases |
Fuel | Olive Fuel Can | Used by our vehicles | Capture fuel depots |
Population Cap | Pop Cap Icon | Max number of soldiers we can have in the mission. Players & AI. | This is static |
Alert Level | Colour changing exclamation mark | Measure of how fortified enemy sectors are going to be and frequency and power of counter attacks on our sectors | Do a secondary mission |
Civilian Support | Civilian Support Icon | Measure of how much the local population likes us. | Do not kill civilians or damage their property. Liberate sectors and healing injured civilians in active sectors will increase civilian support. |
Intel Level | Blue Star | Used to start secondary missions | Bring captured enemies back to base, find Intel documents in enemy sectors or do a search & rescue mission |
Types of sectors
You can see these on the map. If they are blue, they are controlled by us. If they are red, they are controlled by the enemy.
Name | Icon | Purpose | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Capital | Our primary objectives | These are heavily fortified. Expect QRF | |
Cities | Small to medium sizes cities | ||
Factories | They generate Supply, Ammo & Fuel | Very nice to have. | |
Military bases | They give us access to bigger vehicles | Heavily defended. Highly equipped. | |
Radio Towers | Taking radio towers will increase QRF response time nearby | Ideal for solo or small groups play |
Secondary Objectives
Secondary objectives can be accessed by using your scrollwheel in a friendly FOB.
Two types of missions allow you to decrease the "Alert Level" of the enemy. These cost intelligence:
Name | Objective | Quick guide | Result |
---|---|---|---|
FOB Hunt | Destroy an enemy FOB | Find red circle on map. Find the FOB within. Destroy the containers. | Reduces enemy alert level by 40% |
Convoy Hijack | Destroy an enemy convoy | Find convoy route on map. Find convoy. Destroy it. | Reduces enemy alert level slightly and will drop ammo boxes. |
Additionally there is a third secondary objective, which will reward Intel for completing:
Name | Objective | Quick guide | Result |
---|---|---|---|
Search and Rescue | Evakuate two downed pilots | Find circle on map. Find the the pilots. Bring them back to one of our FOBs. | Awards Intel |
Best Practices
Loadouts:
The Liberation playstyle is more mobile than what we do on official ops. This means you are going to be running around a lot, with fewer breaks. Plan your loadouts accordingly.
Vehicles:
Use them! Especially in small groups, you will need to have a wide variety of weapon systems at your disposal, like AT and AA, just to name two. Combined with the high mobility playstyle having additional storage space nearby is an excellent decision.
BETA
The Liberation server is still in beta. Please report all bugs on Discord in the #j11-liberation-server channel.
